The BMW ALPINA D4 Bi-Turbo Coupé leads the way in the segment of sporty and luxurious two-door vehicles with diesel engines. The introduction of a BMW ALPINA Convertible powered by a diesel engine represents a first in the history of ALPINA which goes back almost 50 years. Smooth power delivery, generous torque reserves and excellent refinement makes the powerful 3-litre six cylinder Bi-Turbo diesel engine ideally suited to the versatile BMW 4 Series Convertible with folding metal roof. Powered by 257 kW (350 hp) and 700 Nm of torque, the D4 Bi-Turbo Convertible accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.0 seconds on its way to a top speed of 275 km/h. The combined fuel consumption based on the ECE norm is just 5.9 l/100 km and 156 g/km CO2.

The ALPINA driving experience is unique - perhaps best characterised by effortlessness and powerful confidence. The intelligent suspension and chassis set-up plays a pivotal role in this by allowing high, perceptible comfort combined with outstanding driving dynamics and neutral handling. This is the oft-cited driving comfort ‘made by‘ ALPINA. The adaptive ALPINA sports suspension combines electronically adjustable dampers with springs, auxiliary springs and anti-roll bars. Independent of the active dampers continuously adapting to the current driving conditions, the driver can also noticeably adjust the suspension and overall driving dynamics towards a more comfort or sport orientated setup.

Distinct Personality

The design language of the D4 Bi-Turbo Convertible is defined by short overhangs, precise, muscular shoulder contours, a wide rear end and the characteristic metal folding roof. The sporty and powerful design of the front spoiler features functional air intakes and forms a perfect aerodynamic match with the discreet rear spoiler. This results in a very clean and sharp appearance even when the roof is down.

The ALPINA CLASSIC 20” wheels blend seamlessly into the overall appearance of the convertible and lend it a particularly elegant look. The roof, which at the push of a button closes in just 20 seconds and up to a speed of 18 km/h, transforms the convertible into a winter-proof coupé. The contour of the closed roof with its steep rear window, together with the flat boot and ALPINA rear spoiler create an absolutely unique exterior appearance.

The design of the Coupé successfully blends powerful sportiness and elegant beauty in a flowing form. Its profile sweeps from a muscular front with striking lines and expressive surfaces, along a gently rising shoulder line to a wide and powerful rear. The low, extended silhouette of the Coupé is just perfect for the ALPINA CLASSIC wheels. The timeless design with twenty spokes and concealed inner valve give the Coupé a light and dynamic appearance, through the spokes the blue brake callipers with a ALPINA lettering are visible. The oval twin tailpipes of the exhaust system are particularly distinctive and are attractively integrated into the rear apron.
