On the 26^th of July the ALPINA Race Day on the Salzburgring in Austria took place for the 3^rd time. A lot of participants have been there the years before, but we have also been able to welcome a lot of new ALPINA customers, which have been on the race track with their BMW ALPINA the first time.

A nice dinner at the Jagdhof in Fuschlsee was traditionally the start into a weekend full of petrol-talks.

On Saturday the focus was on exploring the ideal line of the race track, in working on the personal driving style as well as on driving pleasure. In the morning the training started with a section training, where the instructors explained the difficulties of the track and gave some advice on the driving technics. After that, guided laps were used to familiarize with the track and transfer the theory into practice. Later all participants had the possibility to drive free laps and train their driving abilities.

Like in the years before there was the possibility to test drive the newest automobiles from ALPINA like the BMW ALPINA D3 Bi-Turbo, the BMW ALPINA B4 Bi-Turbo Coupé, the BMW ALPINA B4 Bi-Turbo Convertible as well as the BMW ALPINA B6 Bi-Turbo Gran Coupé. This year’s highlight clearly were the taxi rides with the BMW ALPINA B6 GT3 race car and the limited BMW ALPINA B3 GT3, where the ALPINA customers could taste a little pit of racing atmosphere.

At the end of the day we could see a lot of smiling faces and we can say that the ALPINA Race Day 2014 was a big success. We are looking forward to the next event and thank all the participants who made the ALPINA Race Day such a special event.
