From the 17th to the 27th of September 2015 the 66th International Motor Show (IAA) will take place in Frankfurt am Main.
ALPINA will be amongst the many automotive manufacturers from all over the world exhibiting the latest new products. Besides the new BMW ALPINA B3 Bi-Turbo Sedan another highlight will be on display in Frankfurt this year: The BMW ALPINA B7 S Turbo Coupé, sought after by collectors the world over. Based on the BMW 6 Series (E24) from 1981, it features a 3.5 litre six cylinder turbo engine with an impressive power output of 243 kW (330 hp). The B7 S Turbo marked the beginning of a long lasting history of limited edition models from ALPINA. "Since the B7 S Turbo from 1981, the creation of exclusive limited-edition models has become a well-established tradition. It fills us with great pride to see how all ALPINA limited editions have become such coveted collector's items among automobile enthusiasts“, says Andreas Bovensiepen, who is part of the owner family and responsible for sales and marketing. In 2015, the year in which ALPINA celebrates its 50th anniversary, the limited models "EDITION 50" continue this tradition impressively. Their 4.4 litre V8 Bi-Turbo engine is the most powerful engine in the company’s history so far, with an output of 441 kW (600 hp) and 800 Nm of torque and a top speed of 330 km/h. The BMW ALPINA B6 Bi-Turbo EDITION 50 Coupé will be on display in Frankfurt besides its historic predecessor.
