THE FORCE OF EMOTIONS THE BMW ALPINA XB7 The BMW ALPINA XB7, the first luxury performance SAV from the ALPINA automobile manufactory, has garnered international praise since its launch in 2020. Automotive enthusiasts and trade publications alike have been thoroughly impressed by the XB7’s driving dynamics, explosive performance and luxurious comfort. Traditional ALPINA DNA in a new segment. Starting with the 2023 model year, the BMW ALPINA XB7 benefits from a host of product updates, including the latest V8 engine generation, an even sharper, progressive design and the most up-to-date driving assistance systems and connectivity options. State-of-the-art engine technology, now including BMW mild hybrid technology, provides the basis for the engine’s high performance reserves and effortless power delivery. The engine produces a total output of 457 kW (621 hp), with 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque available from just 1,800 rpm. The new appearance is characterised by a modern, horizontally separated headlight design and the new illuminated BMW “Iconic Glow” kidney grille. In the cockpit, the large curved display allows the digital instrument panel and the central control display to merge into one unit. The latest generation of the BMW iDrive adds a new, digital dimension to the vehicle-driver interaction.

DRIVING PLEASURE IN ALL ITS FACETS The BMW ALPINA XB7 is equipped with the latest suspension technology, opening a new dimension in both ride comfort and driving dynamics in the performance luxury Sport Activity Vehicle segment. The ALPINA Sport Suspension, with two-axle air springs, a finely-balanced damper set-up and Active Roll Stabilization, offers a wide variety of driving experiences ranging from plush ride comfort to advanced, race-inspired dynamics. The latest transmission generation from ZF (8HP80) with integ- rated 48v mild hybrid technology offers both comfort and per- formance at the highest level. The Integral Active Steering, while featuring the obvious benefit of small turning circles when manoeuvring, is adapted by ALPINA to provide direct steering response and exceptional directional stability throughout the speed range. The BMW ALPINA XB7 all-wheel drive is based on the BMW xDrive system, which maximizes traction and neutral driving dynamics in all conditions.

Through extensive development efforts the ALPINA engineers have adapted the powerful eight-cylinder engine (S68) specifically to the ALPINA drivetrain philosophy. A characteristic feature is the high torque output of 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) which is available from just 1,800 rpm all the way to 5,400 rpm. The engine’s high power reserves are effortlessly and readily available at all times, which is what the superior ALPINA driving experience is all about. SUPERIOR ROAD HOLDING The two-axle air suspension with ALPINA specific damper and kinematic set-up are primarily responsible for the balance of driving dynamics and ride comfort. It allows for a remarkable and noticeable 40 mm (1.6“) change in ride height, depending on driving situation and Mode selection. At speeds below 30 km/h (19 mph), the ride height can be raised by 40 mm (1.6“) for challenging ramp angles or other clearance requirements. More importantly, the BMW ALPINA XB7’s ride height can be lowered by 40 mm (1.6“). When selecting SPORT mode or at speeds above 160 km/h (100 mph), the ride height is lowered by 20 mm (0.8“). The ride height is lowered another 20 mm (0.8“) for a total of 40 mm (1.6“) beyond speeds of 250 km/h (155 mph) or when selecting SPORT+ mode. The resulting lower centre of gravity and changes in suspension geometry, with associated increases in negative camber, have a significant positive effect on dynamic handling and road holding.

POWERFUL AND PROGRESSIVE The new front view is dominated by a modified light design with horizontally-separated twin headlights. In addition, the “Iconic Glow” kidney grille adds a fresh design accent: a waterfall of light, which can also be activated when driving, draws attention to the trademark BMW kidney grill. The striking, new design vocabulary of the air intakes is taken up by the ALPINA front apron to produce a perfectly shaped, powerful appearance. At the other end, the four oval tailpipes of the sport exhaust system are beautifully integrated into the ALPINA rear apron. The BMW ALPINA XB7 rides on ALPINA DYNAMIC 21“ wheels*. The in-house ALPINA leather workshop offers customers almost unlimited possibilities to create their own interior compositions: piping, stitching, embroidery and embossing, made to customer specifications, add a personal touch to the ALPINA interior design. The untreated LAVALINA leather extends the BMW equipment range with the highest quality natural material used in the auto- motive industry. Connoisseurs particularly value the comfort and climate properties of this special leather. FIRST CLASS CABIN LUXURIOUS LAVALINA LEATHER The generous interior features three rows of seats as standard. The second row either features a rear bench with three seats or – optionally – two comfortable individual seats with integrated armrests. The interior features a whole set of distinguishing details and features which set it apart from the mainstream: exclusive ‚Crafted Clarity‘ glass application and iDrive controller with a ALPINA design, blue illuminated gear selector switch and ALPINA production plaque. In addition to the ALPINA Myrtle Luxury Wood interior trim, two further ALPINA trim variants are optionally available: Piano lacquer and Natural Walnut Anthracite.
