The BMW ALPINA D3 S
INTELLIGENT. INTENSE. INTRIGUING.
Thanks to its unique blend of dynamics, everyday practicality and mile-crunching potency, the BMW ALPINA D3 S enjoys great popularity amongst the ALPINA manufactory product portfolio. Starting with the 2023 model year, the BMW ALPINA D3 S gains a number of updates, including a new exterior design and the latest BMW innovations in the areas of digitalisation and connectivity.
The BMW ALPINA D3 S Saloon underscores its athletic, yet elegant appearance with impressive performance figures. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 4.6 seconds, while the 200 km/h mark is passed in 17.5 seconds on to a top speed of 273 km/h (170 mph).
In terms of everyday practicality, the Touring convinces with a functional stowage space volume of 500 to 1,510 litres. With a top speed of 270 km/h (168 mph), the BMW ALPINA D3 S Touring is one of the fastest of its kind. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 4.8 seconds and 200 km/h is reached in 18.3 seconds.
The revised exterior design underlines the sporty character of the BMW ALPINA D3 S models. The ALPINA aerodynamic components at the front and rear take up the new, progressive shape and give the BMW ALPINA D3 S models a unique appearance. In addition to the traditional ALPINA paint finishes ALPINA Blue and ALPINA Green, there are many BMW and BMW Individual paint finishes available, including new options such as Melbourne Red, Brooklyn Grey and Skyscraper Grey.
Performance. Torque. Efficiency.
The BMW ALPINA D3 S drivetrain impresses with an eagerness to rev despite offering remarkable amounts of low-end torque. Mild hybrid technology with a 48-volt starter generator improves throttle response and efficiency, effortlessly offering long driving ranges in combination with a high performance output. The straight-six 3.0 litre engine with bi-turbo charging offers a maximum output of 261 kW (355 hp). The maximum torque of 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) is available between 1750 and 2750 rpm for immediate power delivery in every driving situation.
Precision, agility, dynamics
The superior driving experience of the BMW ALPINA D3 S is largely influenced by the ALPINA Sport Suspension. Utilising the variable damper control, the ALPINA chassis engineers have created a wide range of set-ups offering excellent ride comfort and precise, dynamic handling. Four driving modes are available: COMFORT+, COMFORT, SPORT and SPORT+. The precision and agility that characterise the BMW ALPINA D3’s handling are achieved through the ALPINA calibrated variable sports steering as well specific springs, bump stops and stabilisers for improved body control.
The latest generation of the BMW iDrive adds a new, digital dimension to the vehicle-driver interaction. The technological basis is provided by the BMW Operating System 8 in combination with intuitive control options like the outstanding voice control offered by the BMW Intelligent Personal Assistant. In the cockpit, the large 14.9" curved display allows the digital instrument panel and the central control display to merge into one unit. The gauges of the digital instrument panel are designed in a trademark ALPINA Blue and Green colour scheme.
The model update also brings along additions to the standard equipment which now includes LED headlights with extended features in a new design as well as the interior and exterior mirror package.
Elegant details like the ALPINA production plaque with individual build number add a touch of exclusivity to the interior.
The ALPINA manufactory and their master craftsmen can realise almost any bespoke interior design wishes, to give your BMW ALPINA D3 S its very own unique identity.

Stated fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are measured pursuant to EU Regulation 715/2007 in its applicable version. From 1st of September 2018 the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) has replaced the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
From January 2021 onwards, European Union member states are required to ensure that new passenger cars offered for sale, for lease or exhibited in showrooms or similar, are clearly labelled with consumption and emission data according to the new WLTP test cycle. Work is currently underway on the amendment of the German regulatory framework which governs the implementation of this European Union obligation in German law, its final completion however is still outstanding. For a number of new vehicles, NEDC consumption and emission values are no longer available, it is therefore reasonable that the more realistic WLTP consumption and emission values are provided to customers instead.
The official manufacturer consumption and emission values have already been determined on the basis of the new WLTP test cycle and, for some models, calculated back to NEDC test cycle for information purposes. The WLTP values are used for the assessment of taxes.
BMW ALPINA D3 S Saloon Touring
Fuel consumption WLTP, combined: 6.9 l/100 km 6.9 l/100 km
CO2 emissions WLTP combined: 182 g/km 182 g/km
All technical data apply to the German market, additional international units of measure shown in the technical data for the purposes of information only. Further information on specific fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of new passenger cars is provided by the ‚Leitfaden über den Kraftstoffverbrauch, die CO2-Emissionen und den Stromverbrauch neuer Personenkraftwagen‘ which can be obtained free of charge at all points of sale and from the Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT) or online https://www.dat.de/co2/.
